Chanel eyeglasses with a thoughtful lens fitting

Choosing Chanel eyeglasses should include a careful conversation about the lenses, not just the silhouette. Classic Vision Optical & Optician in Borough Park helps you assess a particular frame against your prescription, the way it fits, and the work your eyes do each day. We are an independent optical shop, not a brand boutique.

We may not have this brand on the wall. Tell us the model, color, and size, or send a photo, and we order it in if sourcing can be confirmed. Availability of a specific model, color, and size is confirmed when we order. You can also bring a Chanel frame you already bought for a new-lens assessment.

A varied optical collection, not one Chanel shape

Chanel’s official optical collection includes rectangle, pantos, square, oval, cat-eye, and pilot shapes. Its listed constructions include acetate, metal, and combinations of materials. That range is a reason to start with the individual frame rather than assume that every Chanel design will feel or perform the same way.

EssilorLuxottica currently lists Chanel among its licensed eyewear brands. For a concrete optical reference, Chanel describes Rectangle Eyeglasses A75335 X08101 V1742 as an olive acetate frame made in Italy. Its page specifies a 52 mm lens width, 37 mm lens height, and 140 mm temples. These details identify one version; they do not establish local availability or guarantee that the frame will suit your face.

Use the full reference to identify your frame

A screenshot is a helpful beginning, but a complete reference is better. Chanel’s collection contains similarly named shapes with different materials and proportions. Rectangle Eyeglasses A75232, for example, is a separate reference from A75335. If you are replacing a favorite pair, send the writing inside both temples along with front and side photographs.

Chanel explains that optical frames come with demonstration lenses. Those are not a substitute for lenses made to your prescription. A product photograph also cannot show exactly how a bridge will rest on your nose or where your eyes will sit behind the lens openings. We use the reference to investigate the frame, then evaluate fit rather than treating the photograph as the final decision.

A Chanel frame still needs prescription-specific planning

For progressives, the usable lens depth and your fitted eye position matter more than whether the shape is called square or cat-eye. ZEISS notes that some progressive designs do not suit every frame and that shaping a lens can remove useful viewing areas. A shallow fashion shape therefore deserves a measurement check before the lens is chosen.

With a strong prescription, we review a moderate-size option alongside any oversized style you are considering. We discuss the expected lens result before ordering rather than promising thinness from a logo or material label. Very large shapes, sharply curved sunglasses, and any rimless construction require their own compatibility review. A model being suitable for some prescriptions does not establish suitability for yours.

Why the lens matters more than the logo

You may choose the frame for its appearance, but your experience of reading, screens, and distance comes through the lenses. We begin with practical questions: what feels wrong with your current glasses, which distances matter most, and whether one pair is expected to handle every task. That discussion guides the lens recommendation.

Classic Vision can make any lens from every major maker, including all Varilux/Essilor, all ZEISS, all Hoya, Shamir, and Horizons Mimesys. We compare appropriate Varilux, ZEISS, Hoya, and Shamir options without suggesting that the frame requires a matching lens brand. Licensed optician Shaul Einhorn provides patient guidance, while his son Yossi brings an engineering background and a clear-eyed approach to lens marketing.

How ordering works at Classic Vision

Bring a model number or photo, your prescription, and the glasses you currently wear. We check the intended size against your face and prescription, investigate the exact configuration, and explain what can be sourced before placing the order. Once the frame arrives, we verify its fit, take the necessary lens measurements, fit the lenses, and hand-adjust the finished glasses.

Our shop has served Brooklyn since 1996 at 5314 18th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11204. Call, text, or WhatsApp (718) 621-5717 before visiting if you have a specific Chanel request. We do not imply affiliation with or endorsement by Chanel, and a frame already purchased elsewhere is welcome for an assessment of whether it can safely receive new lenses.

Questions we hear

Frequently asked

Where can I get Chanel eyeglasses in Brooklyn?
Ask Classic Vision to check a specific Chanel reference. We may not have the brand on the wall, so send the model, color, and size first. Sourcing and availability must be confirmed before we can proceed.
Can you put progressive lenses in Chanel frames?
We assess the exact frame and its position on your face. The usable depth, fitting measurements, and chosen progressive design determine suitability, not the Chanel name or the shape description alone.
Do Chanel optical frames come with my prescription?
Chanel states that its optical eyewear comes with demonstration lenses. Prescription lenses must be selected and fitted separately. We can discuss single-vision, progressive, or task-specific options around your prescription.
Can you fit new lenses into Chanel glasses I already own?
Bring them in for inspection. We assess the frame’s condition, construction, and fit before confirming the proposed lens work. Existing ownership does not remove the need to check compatibility.
