Dior eyeglasses, with the prescription considered first

Dior eyewear offers distinctive design details, but a recognizable hinge or sculpted temple cannot tell you whether a frame suits your prescription. At Classic Vision Optical & Optician in Borough Park, we help you connect the frame you want with a realistic plan for fit, lens design, and daily use.

We may not have this brand on the wall. Send the model number, color, and size, or a clear photo, and we order it in after confirming sourcing. Availability of a specific model, color, and size is confirmed when we order. We are independent and do not imply any affiliation with Dior.

Dior’s couture references and current eyewear maker

Thélios presents Dior’s eyewear through the house’s heritage, describing its beginnings in 1947 and the translation of couture details into glasses. Thélios is the current eyewear maker behind the collection. Its Dior page highlights CD signatures, the CD Diamond motif, and cannage-inspired temple work, demonstrating that the range includes several different design approaches.

One verified prescription-capable example is the DiorBlackSuit S10I, which Dior describes as square glasses with a black acetate and silver-metal frame. Its signature hinge recalls stitching details from Dior Men suits and carries an engraved CD logo. Dior lists the frame as suitable for prescription. This establishes a useful model reference, not a promise of current sourcing or compatibility with every lens.

Separate optical references from sunglass references

DiorBlackSuit is a collection name, not a single frame. The S10I with clear blue-light-filter lenses is different from the DiorBlackSuit S14I sunglasses, which Dior describes as a slim square bio-acetate design. Dior also identifies the pantos-shaped R7U sunglasses as bio-acetate, with adjustable metal nose pads. We need the full reference to investigate the right construction.

The distinction matters when discussing replacement lenses. A listing that says suitable for prescription is a starting point, not an approval for your exact power, progressive design, or intended tint. Nor should the properties of the original clear or sunglass lenses be assumed to carry over to a newly made prescription pair. We specify the replacement lens separately.

Which Dior shapes deserve extra lens planning?

A relatively conventional optical shape gives us a useful starting point, but measurements still decide the next step. With a strong prescription, we review the lens outline, fitted eye position, and expected finished result. If your preferred frame is oversized, we can discuss a more moderate alternative before the frame order rather than trying to solve every concern afterward.

Progressive lenses require particular care with shallow or unusual shapes. ZEISS explains that different frame dimensions can affect how progressive viewing zones fit within the finished lens. We therefore check usable depth and fitting position. A high-curve sunglass, very large lens opening, or rimless construction needs a separate technical assessment; a designer name does not make those considerations disappear.

Why the lens matters more than the logo

The right question is not simply which lens sounds most advanced. It is which lens suits the way you read, work, drive, and move between distances in the chosen frame. We discuss your present glasses and the situations where they fall short before recommending a single-vision, progressive, or task-specific approach.

Classic Vision can make any lens from every major maker, including all Varilux/Essilor, all ZEISS, all Hoya, Shamir, and Horizons Mimesys. We can compare appropriate Varilux, ZEISS, Hoya, or Shamir designs without tying the decision to the frame’s maker. Licensed optician Shaul Einhorn offers patient fitting guidance, and his son Yossi uses his engineering background to explain what lens claims mean in practical terms.

How ordering works at Classic Vision

Start with a model number or photographs, plus your prescription and current glasses. We check the intended frame size against your face and prescription, confirm the exact reference and sourcing, and order the agreed configuration. After arrival, we verify fit before final lens measurements. The process finishes with lens fitting, a check of the completed glasses, and hand-adjustment for your face.

Classic Vision has served Brooklyn since 1996 at 5314 18th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11204. Call, text, or WhatsApp (718) 621-5717 with your Dior inquiry. If you already purchased a Dior frame, we can assess it for new lenses instead of starting with another frame order. Its condition and lens compatibility must be checked first.

Questions we hear

Frequently asked

Where can I get Dior prescription glasses in Brooklyn?
Send Classic Vision the exact Dior reference, size, and color, or a clear photo. We check sourcing and prescription suitability. We may not have Dior on the wall, and availability is confirmed when we order.
Who currently makes Dior eyewear?
Dior eyewear is made by Thélios. Its official Dior page describes the collection and its design details. That manufacturing relationship does not imply that Classic Vision is affiliated with either company.
Can DiorBlackSuit glasses take prescription lenses?
Dior lists the S10I clear-lens frame and certain DiorBlackSuit sunglasses as suitable for prescription. The exact model still needs to be checked against your prescription and proposed lens design.
Can I replace Dior blue-light-filter lenses with progressives?
We can assess that possibility in the exact frame. Progressive suitability depends on fit, measurements, and lens compatibility. We also discuss any desired coating or filtering separately rather than assuming the original lens features will remain.
